Apricots in syrup in 1-liter jars for the winter

To prevent apricots from turning into mashed potatoes after processing and during storage, you should not choose too ripe and soft fruits for dessert. If the apricots are too sweet, add a pinch of citric acid to the syrup.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
We sort out the apricots. In no case do we use rotten and spoiled fruits, otherwise the delicacy will deteriorate. Getting rid of overripe fruits. We choose those that are stronger. We wash them with running water.
step 2 out of 5
Wipe the apricots with paper towels. We cut them into two parts and remove the bones. Before you put the apricots in the jar, you need to check it for defects. Then the jar and lid must be cleaned with soda powder and rinsed. We sterilize the jar in any convenient way. Boil the lid in a saucepan on the stove (five minutes after boiling is enough).
step 3 out of 5
We put the apricots in the jar carefully, do not press hard on the fruits, so as not to crack. Bring purified water to a boil on the stove and pour it into a jar. We cover the container with a lid not very tightly and leave for 15 minutes.
step 4 out of 5
Then the infusion must be drained into a saucepan and brought to a boil along with sugar. Stirring the syrup constantly, cook it for another 5 minutes. Fill the apricots in a jar with sweet mass.
step 5 out of 5
Immediately cover the neck with a lid and roll up the dessert. Turn the container over and wrap it up well. When the apricots in the syrup have cooled, we send the jar to a dry, cool place.
Bon Appetit!
