We will prepare the cake according to the principle of separating dry and wet components - first we mix them in different dishes and only then combine them into a single mixture. In the first bowl, combine the required amount of granulated sugar, wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Mix everything.

Wash the orange well in hot water and wipe it dry. We take a grater and use it to remove the top layer - orange zest. It is the zest that will make the cupcake fragrant, since it contains essential oils.

After removing the zest, the orange must be cut in half and squeezed out of the juice.

Prepare the butter - melt it. Then combine melted butter, juice and orange zest, sour cream and eggs in a deep container.
