Birch sap with barberry

Birch sap with candies is something new. The drink takes on a light taste of barberry candies. However, the severity of this taste directly depends on the amount of added candies. Here are the average proportions, but you can experiment to your own taste.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
We immediately prepare the container: wash the cans, sterilize in any convenient way, let dry. We do the same with the lids.
step 2 out of 5
We release the lollipops from the wrappers. We put sweets in the jars. An approximate calculation is three to four candies per three liters of juice. This amount can be either increased or decreased to achieve a taste that suits you.
step 3 out of 5
Strain the birch sap through a fine sieve or cheesecloth into a large saucepan to get rid of small random debris. Add granulated sugar and citric acid. Mix and place on the stove. We heat the liquid to a hot, almost boiling state, but do not bring it to a boil.
step 4 out of 5
We pour hot birch sap into a prepared container with barberries.
step 5 out of 5
We immediately tighten the jars with sterilized dry lids. We turn the container upside down to check the tightness and in this position we leave the juice to cool. We put the cooled jars for storage in a cool, dark place - a cellar or refrigerator.
Bon Appetit!
