Non-yeast dough on milk for pies

If you have planned pies for today and are looking for a suitable dough recipe, we recommend you try this option. Knead the dough in milk with the addition of eggs and butter. Everything is done quickly and easily. After kneading, we leave the dough in the refrigerator for half an hour, and at this time we prepare any filling. The easiest option is mashed potatoes. We cut the dough, form pies and fry them until golden brown in oil. I must say that the dough is well fried to a crunch - these are not soft and fluffy, but crunchy and even a little crumbly pies.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 8
To prepare the dough, break the egg into a bowl, add granulated sugar and salt to it. Shake well with a whisk until smooth.
step 2 out of 8
Pour warm milk into the beaten egg and mix well.
step 3 out of 8
Rub the butter from the refrigerator on a fine grater directly into the bowl with the egg-milk mixture. With a whisk, thoroughly mix the resulting shavings with the liquid mass.
step 4 out of 8
Pour most of the pre-sifted flour into the resulting liquid mixture. Mix well with a spatula.
step 5 out of 8
Then we sift the remaining flour and mix it in with our hands.
step 6 out of 8
We spread the mass on the table and knead a soft, pliable, but elastic dough. You may need a little more or less flour than indicated, since different flours have different characteristics. The final dough should never be steep. Place the kneaded dough in a bowl, cover with a towel and leave to "rest" in the refrigerator for thirty to forty minutes.
step 7 out of 8
After the refrigerator, put the finished dough from a bowl on a work surface sprinkled with flour, and cut it into small pieces, according to the desired size of the pies. Roll each piece of dough into a ball and roll it into a cake with a rolling pin. Put the filling and form the pies. Fry them in well-heated oil in a frying pan until golden brown, on both sides.
step 8 out of 8
After frying, place the items on a paper towel - it will absorb the excess oil after frying. We serve hot or warm pies to the table.
Bon Appetit!
