Sponge cake in a saucepan

If your oven is broken, but you want something tasty for tea, a biscuit cooked in a saucepan on the stove is an excellent solution. The biscuit turns out to be as aromatic and airy as in the oven. These baked goods are quite good on their own, and can also be used as cakes for a homemade cake.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
Cut a circle out of special baking paper to match the diameter of the pan. We coat this circle with butter and then put it on the bottom of the pan. To finally prepare the pan for baking, wrap the lid in a towel.
step 2 out of 6
Let's start the test. Split the eggs and separate the yolks from the whites. We send the proteins into a convenient container, add a pinch of salt and beat thoroughly with a mixer for 5 minutes until a white foam appears. After that, gradually add half a glass of granulated sugar and at the same time increase the speed of the mixer. We drive in another 3 minutes.
step 3 out of 6
Pour the remaining sugar into the yolks and beat the ingredients for 2 minutes.
step 4 out of 6
Gently add the yolks to the whipped whites, without stopping whipping. Then start adding wheat flour, stirring with a spoon from top to bottom. The dough should look like thick sour cream in texture.
step 5 out of 6
Put the prepared pan on the fire, heat it slightly, then pour the finished dough into it, cover with a lid with a towel. The biscuit should be baked for 45 minutes on low heat. You can make sure the baking is ready with a toothpick.
step 6 out of 6
When ready, turn off the gas, let the biscuit cool, then take it out of the pan, cut it into pieces and treat yourself to it.

Enjoy your tea!
