Pumpkin for pancakes will need to be cut into cubes, peeled and seeds, and then boiled until tender or baked in cubes in the oven. Sometimes raw pumpkin grated on a fine grater is also added to such pancakes, but with ready-made pumpkin puree, the pancakes will still turn out to be more tender.
