Salted tomatoes are a delicious and unusual appetizer that many will love. Such a snack can not only diversify the daily diet, but also complement the festive table. But what if there is no way to pickle tomatoes in a barrel? The answer is - you can close the tomatoes in a jar, and they will taste the same as barrel vegetables.

Put cherry and black currant leaves, dill umbrellas, two horseradish leaves, black pepper and three garlic cloves in the prepared container. Peel the garlic cloves first, then cut into smaller pieces.

Wash tomatoes thoroughly. Further, each fruit must be cut crosswise in the region of the stalk. We put the prepared tomatoes in a jar, filling its half volume. Put the remaining horseradish leaf and three chopped garlic cloves on top of the tomatoes.

Shake the jar lightly so that the tomatoes lay closer to each other. Next, fill the container with tomatoes to the very top, adding at the end the remaining amount of garlic (3 cloves).

Pour cold water into a separate container. Add granulated sugar, salt and mustard to it. Stir everything until the solids dissolve.

Pour the prepared brine over the tomatoes in the jar.

Close the container with tomatoes with a nylon lid and move to a dark, cool place. The first sample can be removed after 2 weeks. Next, focus on the taste of the appetizer. If necessary, leave the tomatoes to pickle for another week.
