Lingonberry sauce for meat

Sweet and sour, slightly tangy sauce is ideal for meat or poultry. This sauce can diversify even the simplest dish, and it will sparkle with new colors and tastes.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
So, let's get started with lingonberries. If it is frozen, it must first be thawed, and freshly washed. We take a saucepan, pour the berries there, fill it with water and set to cook.
step 2 out of 5
After boiling, boil for a few more minutes and pour sugar and spices into the lingonberries (spices can be any, for example, pepper, dried garlic, cumin or a mixture of salad dressings, as you like)
step 3 out of 5
Stir constantly, boil for another 3-5 minutes.
step 4 out of 5
Next, grind the berries with a blender. You can leave the berries intact, but this way the taste of the sauce will be more "uniform" and no grains of seasoning will come across.
step 5 out of 5
Bring the sauce to a boil again. If you plan to roll up the sauce in jars, then you must first pour over boiling water or sterilize in the oven. Pour more hot sauce into the jars. Close with lids and store in a cool place.
Bon Appetit!
