Classic lingonberry sauce for meat

In a saucepan, sugar dissolves in water. Then crushed peppercorns, whole lingonberries are added there and everything is cooked over low heat for 15 minutes. After cooling completely, the sauce will be an excellent addition to meat dishes.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
Pour a glass of granulated sugar into a suitable saucepan and fill it with a quarter of a glass of drinking water. We put the container on fire.
step 2 out of 5
Grind the peppercorns with a mortar, or use a rolling pin several times over the peas. It's not scary if the pieces are large. The sauce will not spoil it in any way. It is better not to use ground, as it has a weaker aroma.
step 3 out of 5
We send the pepper to a saucepan with sugar, mix and cook for a couple of minutes until the sugar is completely dissolved.
step 4 out of 5
We sort out the lingonberries, rinse them under running water and send them to the boiled mixture. We continue to cook over low heat for 15 minutes.
step 5 out of 5
Turn off the heat and let the sauce cool completely. We transfer it to a container where it will be stored, and serve it to the table with meat dishes. Bon Appetit!
