Lingonberries in their own juice in jars for the winter

Lingonberry is an incredibly healthy berry that makes a very tasty pie filling. It is necessary to make preparations for the winter from lingonberries - jam or compote, since the berry heals colds, stops bleeding and relieves rashes.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
Before contact with boiled water, lingonberries should be rinsed and slightly heated, otherwise they will burst and spray the juice. Then the berries must be mixed with water and brought to a boil.
step 2 out of 5
In the next step, we need an iron sieve. We put it on top of the pan and filter the liquid with pulp. We help ourselves with a spoon or a spatula.
step 3 out of 5
Pour sugar into the mass and mix. Now we rinse the apples and get rid of the peel, seeds and "tails". Cut the fruits into slices or cubes.
step 4 out of 5
Pour apple cubes or wedges into a saucepan with lingonberry mass. When the mixture comes to a boil, it is necessary to turn off the stove and allow the mass to cool down.
step 5 out of 5
Then the mass must be boiled again and allowed to cool for 2 or 3 hours. After cooling, the mixture of lingonberries and apples should be brought to a boil again and poured into pre-prepared jars. We roll up the containers with lids and turn over. We wrap it with a blanket until it cools.
Bon Appetit!
