Whole Wheat Pizza Dough

Pizza is not the healthiest food, considering that it is made with processed white flour dough. However, you can always make the right substitution: instead of useless premium flour, use a very valuable whole grain. Of course, the look and taste of pizza made from such a dough will differ from a traditional dish. However, there will be more benefits from such food. For lovers of proper nutrition, pizza on this basis definitely has every chance to enter the daily menu.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 7
Pour dry ingredients into a bowl: whole grain flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder. Mix the ingredients with a spoon.
step 2 out of 7
Pour milk and olive oil on top. Next, put honey. If it is hard or too thick, pre-heat it for a few seconds in the microwave before liquefying - it is easier to mix the dough this way.
step 3 out of 7
Knead the dough with our hands. Its color will be dark due to the characteristic coloration of the whole grain flour. The consistency is not tight, but shaped, the structure is not smooth, with grains.
step 4 out of 7
Pour oat flakes onto the dough and mix them into the total mass.
step 5 out of 7
We form a ball from the dough, cover it with a towel so that a dried crust does not appear on the surface, and leave it for ten to fifteen minutes.
step 6 out of 7
After "resting", roll out the dough into a layer and lay out the conceived pizza filling.
step 7 out of 7
The baking time of such a dough, on average, will be fifteen to twenty minutes at 190 degrees. Place the pizza tray on the bottom or middle-bottom level.

Bon Appetit!
