Sweet cherries in their own juice with sugar for the winter

Sugar is poured at the bottom of the cans, cherries are laid on top and the berries are poured with water. Then everything is sterilized, rolled up and left to cool completely. It turns out a very tasty and sweet preparation, which will be especially pleasing in winter.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
Remove the tails with leaves from the cherry and rinse it thoroughly under running water. Then we throw the berries into a colander and leave until all the excess liquid has drained off.
step 2 out of 5
We rinse one-liter jars well under hot water with soda, after which we sterilize them in any convenient way. Pour a glass of granulated sugar at the bottom.
step 3 out of 5
We fill the jars of sugar with cherries to the very top and fill everything with water up to the neck.
step 4 out of 5
Cover the jars with lids and place them on the bottom of a large saucepan. We fill it with water a few centimeters below the level of the lids. We send the pan to the fire, bring the liquid to a boil and cook for 30 minutes. Now we roll up the lids, turn the cans upside down, wrap them in a blanket or bedspread and leave to cool completely for several hours or overnight.
step 5 out of 5
We send cherries in their own juice for storage in a dark cool place. We open it in winter, dilute the juice with water and serve it as a compote. Berries can be served separately. Bon Appetit!
