Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
We carry out sterilization of cans and lids.
step 2 out of 5
We take ripe blackcurrant fruits and rinse them well, remove all branches and other dirt. Then we get rid of excess moisture on the berries: you can dry them on paper towels or napkins, and also put them in a colander. After that, put the berries in a saucepan, where we will cook them soon, but first beat the currants with a blender until the consistency of mashed potatoes.
step 3 out of 5
We add sugar and continue to beat the currants until the sugar is no longer visible.
step 4 out of 5
Bring the berry mass to a boil over low heat and cook for another 5 minutes after that. We remove the formed foam. Remove the pan from heat and let it cool for 20-30 minutes. Then we repeat the cooking process and let cool again. In total, it is necessary to cook the mass three times so that the jam is as thick as possible.
step 5 out of 5
Pour the finished jam hot into sterilized jars, roll up or close the lid tightly. While the jars are cooling, it is better to put them upside down, i.e. lids down. Cover with a blanket. After the jam has cooled, the jars can be returned to the correct position and the jam can be stored in a cool place. Bon Appetit!
