With this method of harvesting, the berries are not heat-treated and sugar acts as the main preservative. Therefore, such blueberries turn out to be very thick and sweet, which may not please everyone.

Sort out the berries, picking out rotten, dented and unripe berries, as well as removing twigs and blades of grass. Then put some water in a small bowl and pour the berries into it. Gently stir the blueberries with your hands several times and scoop up any debris from the surface of the water. Drain or scoop the fruit out of the water with a colander and lay to dry on a towel.

You can completely grind the berries with sugar in a blender to a smooth puree, you can press the berries and grind them, you can divide in half and chop only one part so that whole fruits come across in the workpiece.
