This method of harvesting berries takes slightly longer than heating jars of blueberries in boiling water, but it is suitable for large volumes of berries and, accordingly, large jars that cannot be heated well in a saucepan.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
Before cooking, blueberries must be sorted out and sorted. Be sure to remove small debris, unripe and rotten berries. Put those fruits that are simply crushed in places in a separate bowl. Pour the selected berries into a colander and rinse. To do this, collect water in a basin and immerse a colander in it. This way you will not damage the berries themselves and it will be easy for you to remove the debris that has floated to the surface. Stir the berries gently and remove the colander from the bowl. Then rinse the blueberries under a gentle stream of water.
step 2 out of 5
While the washed blueberries are drying, work on the crushed berries. Put them in a colander and rinse them too, but under a powerful stream of water and very carefully. Shake well to remove excess water.
step 3 out of 5
Pour the freshly washed berries into a bowl and add sugar. Use a fork to crush the blueberries completely and stir in the sugar. Then add whole berries and stir again, but gently this time.
step 4 out of 5
Divide the resulting mass into pre-sterilized jars, which are then put on the wire rack in the oven. Cover the jars with lids, which also need to be boiled in advance, and turn on the oven so that it gradually heats up to a temperature of 120 ̊С.
step 5 out of 5
When the desired temperature is reached, turn off the oven to let the jars cool slowly with it. When the temperature drops to about 60 ° C, the cans can be taken out and rolled up. When they are completely cool, store them in a cool place.
