Blueberries in their own juice in a slow cooker

The multicooker greatly simplifies the process of preparing various dishes, in particular, due to the ability to maintain a constant temperature. It is also convenient to use it to sterilize the dishes in which you are going to preserve the jars.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
The berries must be sorted out for the presence of various small debris, such as leaves and twigs. Also remove any spoiled and crushed berries so that it does not spoil the taste of the seaming later.
step 2 out of 6
Rinse the blueberries under running water and drain in a colander to drain the water. Then spread the berries on a towel and blot them from excess moisture. When the blueberries are dry, pour them into a pre-pasteurized container. In this case, it will be more convenient to use small jars of 500-700 milliliters, and you can sterilize them all in the same multicooker on the "Steam cooking" mode. When using this method, water is poured into the bowl, the lids are immersed in it, then the steaming grate is installed along with the jars drawn upside down.
step 3 out of 6
At the bottom of the multicooker bowl, put a towel folded several times, place containers with berries on it and pour water so that it reaches the middle of the cans. Bring the water to a light boil, setting the desired temperature in the "Cooking" mode. Cover the jars with lids so that water does not pour in, but do not twist.
step 4 out of 6
After 30-40 minutes of cooking, remove the lids, lightly tamp the boiled berries and add fresh ones to the top. Cover again and let simmer for another 20-30 minutes.
step 5 out of 6
After the specified time has passed, open the jars again and add fresh berries. Continue to do this until the blueberry juice completely covers the berries. Leave to simmer for another 5 minutes, and you can turn off the multicooker.
step 6 out of 6
When the water has cooled, remove the jars, screw the lid back on tightly and leave to cool to room temperature. In the future, it is not necessary to store it in the refrigerator, you just need to find a place with a constant temperature.
Bon Appetit!
