Frozen garlic arrows

Garlic arrows are a very healthy product. They contain many vitamins and minerals, as well as valuable phytoncides that help fight infections. Eating them during the period of illness, you can significantly increase the body's defenses. To prepare arrows for future use and preserve the maximum amount of nutrients, we use the freezing method. Everything is extremely simple and fast. The most important thing is to collect the raw materials on time. We collect the arrows, while they are still thin, with unopened buds - that's when the valuable stems will be tender and fragrant.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
Place the freshly picked garlic arrows in a deep bowl and rinse thoroughly several times under running water. We make sure that all surface dirt, sand and dust are washed away.
step 2 out of 6
After washing, we sort out the arrows and discard the yellowing stems and cut off the buds. It is recommended to bend each arrow: those that do not bend and break are already too hard and will not be suitable for freezing, they must be thrown away. Easy-bending arrows are young and juicy, and these are exactly the ones that should be harvested for future use.
step 3 out of 6
We cut the arrows that have passed the test into small segments of approximately three centimeters.
step 4 out of 6
To prevent the arrows from sticking together when frozen in lumps, they must be well dried. To do this, sprinkle the cut stems on a towel and let the moisture remaining after rinsing evaporate - half an hour will be enough.
step 5 out of 6
Pour the prepared dried arrows into a plastic bag, release the air and tie tightly. Arrows are a product with an intense odor. In order to prevent the spread of their aroma in the freezer, the already tied stems should be placed in one or two additional bags.
step 6 out of 6
We send the packed arrows to the freezer and store them for six months.

Bon Appetit!
