We offer an interesting option for making cheesecake without cream cheese and even without cottage cheese. For the creamy mass, we use sour cream. The consistency of the finished cheesecake is somewhat different from the classic one, it is less dense and has a greater sourness. Still, the resulting baked goods can be considered as a possible alternative to the famous dessert.

Break the cookies into random pieces and place them in the blender bowl. Grind the cookies to a fine crumb state. Alternatively, you can grind the cookies with a grater. Mix the crushed cookies with softened butter - you get a wet crumb. We tamp the crumb along the perimeter of the form.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. We put the form in the oven for 10 minutes. The crumb crust will brown and grab into a single whole.

While the cake is baking, we prepare products for the creamy mass: we measure out the required amount of sour cream and sugar. In a wide bowl, mix sour cream with sugar, add eggs, starch and vanillin. Beat everything together by hand using a whisk or with a mixer at medium speed.

Pour the prepared cream onto the baked crust and put the mold back in the oven. We bake for 40-50 minutes on an average level at 160 degrees.

Take the finished cheesecake out of the oven and let it cool completely. Put the cooled dessert in the refrigerator and refrigerate for at least a couple of hours.

It is recommended to cut the cheesecake with a hot knife so that the cream can easily disperse and the cut is smooth and beautiful. Garnish the cheesecake slices with chocolate, whipped cream, berries, or fruit chunks when serving.
