Black currant through a meat grinder without cooking with sugar for the winter

The berries are passed through a meat grinder and sugar is added to them in parts. Then the resulting mass is laid out in jars and placed in the refrigerator.

To begin with, we sort out the currant berries well, getting rid of leaves and other debris. Then we transfer to a colander and rinse under cold water. Let all the liquid drain and pour the currants into a deep bowl.

We install a large grate on the meat grinder and pass a part of the black currant through it into an enameled dish.

Next, add some of the granulated sugar and mix thoroughly with a wooden spoon or spatula.

We pass all the remaining berries through a meat grinder.

Pour out the granulated sugar and mix with a wooden spoon until it is completely dissolved within one to two hours.
