Homemade pasties on kefir with minced meat in a pan

Which dough to choose for pasties: yeast, custard, kefir or unleavened? There is no dispute about this. Each housewife has her own favorite and reliable recipe. Chebureks on kefir dough are always softer and more tender than traditional ones, and besides, they do not stale for a couple of days, so you can bake a lot at once.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 7
Break an egg into a bowl for kneading the dough, pour kefir at room temperature, add salt (do not add soda to the dough) and whisk everything well with a whisk. Then, through a sieve, pour the required amount of flour to the kefir and knead the dough, first with a spoon, and then with your hands. Roll the dough into a bun and leave to rest under a napkin for 40 minutes.
step 2 out of 7
Transfer the minced meat to a separate bowl. Peel the onions and chop in any way. Transfer the onion to the minced meat, add salt and black pepper to your taste and stir. Then pour in 100 ml of warm water and stir again until smooth.
step 3 out of 7
Transfer the rested dough to the floured work surface of the table. Roll it into a roll and cut into equal pieces. Roll each piece into a thin round cake.
step 4 out of 7
Spread the prepared minced meat on half of each tortilla. Pinch the edges of the cakes tightly and give them beautiful contours with a fork.
step 5 out of 7
In a deep skillet and over medium heat, heat enough vegetable oil. Fry the pasties in it until golden brown on one side.
step 6 out of 7
Then gently flip over to the other side and grill until tender.
step 7 out of 7
Put the fried pasties with minced meat on kefir from the pan, first onto a paper towel, and then onto plates. The dish can be served with tea, coffee or juice.

Bon Appetit!
