Homemade tomato paste ketchup

We are used to the fact that there is always ketchup in the refrigerator, more often it is a product from the store, however, you can also make excellent homemade ketchup yourself. It turns out not expensive, as natural and useful as possible.

Transfer the tomato paste to a saucepan, add water, watch out for the thickness, you may need less or more water.

Wash the greens and chop it finely with a knife.

Peel the garlic, you can chop it with a press or rub it on a fine grater.

Put a saucepan of diluted tomato paste on the fire, add salt, sugar and spices. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly with a wooden spatula.

When the mixture comes to a boil, add the herbs and garlic. Cook for another 5 minutes. Add vinegar at the very end.

Remove the pan from heat, cool, transfer the homemade ketchup to sterilized jars and screw them tightly with the lids. Store the ketchup in the refrigerator.
