Sometimes you so want to feel the taste of that kvass from childhood. It is so refreshing, aromatic and tart it is impossible to resist. And even if there is no bread at home to make this drink on it, you should not deny yourself. You need to make homemade kvass without bread. It is in no way inferior in taste to that drink from childhood.

In a separate container, mix fermented rye malt with sugar, rye flour and millet.

Pour the resulting mixture into a clean three-liter jar, pour 0.5 liters of boiling water over it and mix thoroughly. Then add another liter of water.

Allow the mixture to cool completely, then add the starter culture. Stir the mixture again, cover the jar with gauze on top and leave it for a day to infuse.

Strain the finished kvass through a sieve or cheesecloth. Add well-washed raisins to the drink. You can also add sugar to the kvass to taste.
