The dough for pies, mixed with whey and yeast, always turns out smooth, airy and easy to work with. You can well store such dough in the freezer for a couple of months, and it will not lose its taste. Whey dough is suitable for savory and sweet fillings.

Pour the whey into a separate saucepan and heat it slightly so that it is only warm. Add dry yeast to it, stir and leave for 15 minutes to activate the yeast.

Sift flour on a sieve. Pour half of the sifted flour to the whey, add sugar and mix everything well with a wooden spoon and spatula. This will be a dough for the test. Cover the dough with a napkin and place in a warm and draft-free place for 1 hour. Dough will first rise, and then begin to fall, this indicates its readiness.
