Cherry and Apple Yeast Pie

Cherries and apples are ideal filling products for pies, either individually or combined. Juice, delicate sourness, natural sweetness and fruity aroma - that's all about them. Let's make a rich yeast pie with apple and cherry.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
To knead the dough, first activate the yeast: pour warm milk into a bowl, pour yeast into it, stir until dissolved, leave for fifteen minutes to activate.
step 2 out of 6
When the yeast mixture is covered with foam, add the egg, granulated sugar, melted butter to it, mix thoroughly. Next, add the sifted flour in parts, knead the soft shaped dough. We form a ball from the dough, put it in a bowl, cover it with a towel and put it in a warm place for an hour and a half to two hours for proofing. Divide the matched dough into two unequal parts.
step 3 out of 6
Grease the cake pan with vegetable oil. We roll out most of the dough into a layer and lay it out in a mold, forming sides along the edges. Put the prepared pitted cherries on the dough. You can use both fresh and previously thawed berries, or canned.
step 4 out of 6
Sprinkle the cherries lightly with sugar. Peel the apples and remove the seed capsule. Cut the pulp into plates and put them on top of the cherries. Roll the remaining dough into a thin layer and cut out the strips. With the resulting strips, lay out the lattice on the fruit filling.
step 5 out of 6
We put the form with the formed cake in an oven preheated to 190 degrees, bake for about forty minutes, until the surface is covered with a golden brown crust.
step 6 out of 6
We take the cake out of the oven and generously sprinkle its surface with powdered sugar. Let the baked goods cool before serving.
Bon Appetit!
