Frozen Strawberry Yeast Pie

Yeast-based pies are always associated with a warm homely atmosphere and coziness. A piece of such pastries will immediately cheer you up and set you in a positive mood. This yeast pie with strawberries is one of those - soft, fluffy, with a golden crust and juicy aromatic filling. Proofing and cutting the dough will take some tinkering, but the result is definitely worth it.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 8
To prepare the dough, pour warm milk into a bowl and pour dry yeast into it. Mix thoroughly and leave in a warm place for fifteen minutes. The mixture should expand and foam.
step 2 out of 8
Beat eggs with granulated sugar and salt in a separate container. Sift the flour into a bowl, add soft butter cut into small pieces.
step 3 out of 8
Grind the flour and butter with your hands to a crumb state. Pour in the beaten eggs and milk-yeast mass, knead the dough. We roll the mass into a ball, place it in a bowl, tighten it with cling film and put it in a warm place to rise for one hour. The dough should double in size. After the specified time has elapsed, we knead the dough that has come up with our hands and leave it for proofing for another hour.
step 4 out of 8
After the second rise, we divide the dough into two unequal parts - we separate about a quarter of the mass from the total volume.
step 5 out of 8
Grease the baking dish with a small amount of odorless vegetable oil. You can also cover it with oiled parchment. If the mold is silicone, no lubrication is required. Roll out most of the dough into a circle and place it in a mold. The edges of the dough should hang slightly from the sides of the mold. We cover the form with the dough with a towel and proceed to preparing the filling.
step 6 out of 8
Defrost the strawberries in advance. Be sure to drain the juice that will stand out during defrosting so that it does not give excessive moisture to the filling. Cut the strawberries in half if the berries are too large. Put the strawberries in a bowl, cover them with powdered sugar and starch, mix - the filling is ready. We spread the berries on the dough in the form.
step 7 out of 8
Roll the second part of the dough into a layer, cut into long strips. We spread them crosswise on the filling so that the edges of the strips touch the bottom layer of the dough and hang down. Then we walk with a knife along the circumference of the mold, cut off the hanging dough - the cake turns out to be even, and the upper and lower layers of the dough are connected. After that, grease the surface of the cake with a silicone brush with yolk.
step 8 out of 8
Preheat the oven to a temperature of 180 degrees. We put the future pie on the middle level of an already hot oven and bake for approximately thirty-five to forty-five minutes. Baking times may vary slightly depending on the specific oven. By the end of baking, the cake should have noticeably increased in size and browned well. We take the finished product out of the oven and let it cool before serving. To decorate, sprinkle the surface with sifted powdered sugar.
