Cherry plum jam with orange

Cherry plum is rather sour and does not possess a pronounced aroma, so any additives that can add "mood" to these fruits are always welcome. For example, oranges. This combination gives a tasty jam with a sour taste and a distinct refreshing citrus aroma.

Pour the prepared cherry plum with boiling water and leave for five minutes, so that the pulp is easier to move away from the seeds.

Place the cherry plum in portions in a sieve, let the water drain, and wipe the fruits. The bones will remain in the sieve.

And you get such cherry plum puree. We immediately place it in a bowl for making jam.

Wash oranges with hot water, cut into pieces and remove seeds. Grind together with the peel with a blender or pass through a meat grinder.

Add the orange mass to the cherry plum puree, pour out the granulated sugar, mix and put on the stove. Bring the mass to the complete dissolution of sugar and to a boil. Then we reduce the heat and cook the jam for about thirty-five minutes. The jam will become a little darker and boil down. Do not forget to stir periodically.

Wash jars and lids and sterilize in any available way. We pack ready-made jam in sterile jars. We roll up the lids, turn the cans upside down to check the tightness. Let the workpiece cool completely. We remove the jam for storage in a dark, cool place.
