Jam from watermelon for the winter

Pieces of watermelon are poured with lemon juice, covered with sugar and left for at least half an hour. Then everything is sent to a saucepan and cooked over low heat for an hour. The watermelon is poured with a blender and the ready-made jam is poured into the jars.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
First, thoroughly rinse the watermelon under running water.
step 2 out of 5
Cut it open and cut out the pulp. We clean it from seeds and cut into medium-sized pieces. We transfer to a deep container, add lemon zest, pour a tablespoon of lemon juice and fill everything with pitch sugar. Let it stand for about 30-60 minutes for the watermelon to release its juice.
step 3 out of 5
We transfer all the contents to a saucepan with a thick bottom, put on low heat and cook for one hour.
step 4 out of 5
After this time, take an immersion blender and punch the resulting mass with it until puree.
step 5 out of 5
We sterilize jars with lids in a convenient way and pour hot jam over them. Close tightly and let stand until completely cooled. Then we send the cans to a place suitable for storage, take them out in winter and enjoy the amazing taste. Bon Appetit!
