Cherry and cherry jam

Sweet cherries and cherries are very similar, but there is also a difference between them. In a jam made from a combination of these berries, there will be both sweet cherry sweetness and piquant cherry sourness. This jam is ideal for filling for homemade baked goods. In this recipe, you are encouraged to add pectin to the jam, which significantly reduces the cooking time and preserves the natural taste of fresh berries.

Remove the stems from the berries. Place the cherries in a colander and rinse with running water. Then leave for a while to glass the water.

Prepare the cherries in the same way.

Remove seeds from cherries and cherries using any tool.

Transfer the berries to a bowl for making jam. Add a little water to them and pour over the juice collected from the seeds. Place the dishes over medium heat and bring the berry mass to a boil. When the berries boil, add the calculated amount of sugar to them, mix well and cook the jam over low heat for 20 minutes. Stir the jam periodically and remove the foam from the surface.

Pour the pectin into the jam and stir well immediately to prevent it from clumping. Cook the pectin jam over medium heat for 4-5 minutes and turn off the heat.
