Uncooked blueberry jam

Blueberries are a very healthy berry. To preserve all the useful vitamins and minerals, we suggest making jam from it without heat treatment. In order for such a jam to be well stored and acquire a thick consistency, a rather large amount of sugar is required: we put two parts of granulated sugar on one part of the berries. We store such raw jam only in a cold place for no more than a year.

We sort out blueberries, throw away random garbage, twigs and defective specimens. Place the berries in a colander and rinse thoroughly with running water.

Sprinkle the washed blueberries in a thin layer on a dry towel so that the moisture after washing is absorbed and the berries dry.

Wipe blueberries through a sieve with a wooden crush. Add granulated sugar to the mashed mass and mix until the sugar is completely dissolved.

We lay out the raw jam in dry, pre-sterilized jars. Roll up with dry sterile lids. Store in a cool, dark place.
