Blueberry jam for the winter

I would like to suggest making a fragrant blueberry jam for the winter. Blueberries are a healthy berry, from which jam, compotes are cooked, used as an interlayer for biscuit cakes and pastries. Fast heat treatment allows you to preserve a large amount of nutrients in the finished jam.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
Sort the blueberries thoroughly, put in a sieve, rinse thoroughly and let the excess liquid drain. Then place on paper towels to absorb excess moisture.
step 2 out of 5
Place half of the dried blueberries in a heavy-bottomed saucepan and use a hand blender to chop until smooth.
step 3 out of 5
Pour the other half with the required amount of granulated sugar. Stir well, leave for about 1 hour. After an hour, transfer the blueberries with granulated sugar to the chopped blueberry mass and put on low heat, bring to a boil, add pectin and mix thoroughly. Cook for another 5-7 minutes and then remove from heat.
step 4 out of 5
Prepare the jars, wash thoroughly and sterilize in the microwave, oven, or water bath. Pour boiling water over the lids. Jars and lids must be completely dry. Using a ladle, gently pour the hot jam into sterile jars. Cover the jars of blueberry jam with sterile lids and screw, turn upside down.
step 5 out of 5
Leave as it is until it cools completely. Then turn the jars over and transfer to a refrigerator or cool place for long-term storage. After cooling completely, taste the prepared treat by spreading it on a white loaf.

Enjoy!
