Blackcurrant jam with gooseberries will be a healthy and tasty preparation of these berries for the winter. It is not difficult to prepare. The berries are chopped in any way and then boiled with sugar in 2-3 doses. Sometimes, for a more uniform texture of the dessert, the berry mass is rubbed through a sieve. An indispensable condition for a delicious jam will be sweet and soft gooseberries, and black currants will suit any taste and variety.

First you need to pick up good berries for making jam. Then cut off the tails from both sides of the gooseberry, remove the stalks from the currant. Rinse the berries thoroughly and leave in a colander to remove excess liquid.

Grind the prepared berries with a blender or food processor until a smooth puree and so that there is no trace of the seeds. If desired, the berry puree can be additionally grated through a sieve or squeezed through cheesecloth, then there will definitely be no seeds.

Pour the berry puree into a cooking utensil, add the calculated amount of sugar to it and put on medium heat. With occasional stirring, bring the puree to a boil, remove the foam and simmer over low heat for 5-10 minutes. Then turn off the heat and leave the jam for 5 hours to cool. Then, after this time, repeat the cooking for 10 minutes.
