Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 8
Rinse the figs thoroughly under running water and dry them on a paper towel. Overripe and very soft berries are good for this recipe.
step 2 out of 8
We cut off the tails from each fruit and cut them into slices.
step 3 out of 8
We transfer the figs to a saucepan with a thick bottom and fill it with drinking water.
step 4 out of 8
We send the pan to the fire, bring the contents to a boil and cook for 5 minutes. Then we remove from the stove and let the mass stand for 3 hours.
step 5 out of 8
We repeat the previous step one more time and also leave the jam for three hours.
step 6 out of 8
Cook in the same way for the third time, after which we punch the figs with an immersion blender. Cook over low heat for 25 minutes, stirring constantly so that nothing burns.
step 7 out of 8
Pour granulated sugar to the jam, mix and cook for another half hour.
step 8 out of 8
Pour hot jam into pre-sterilized jars and tighten the lids tightly. Turn it upside down, let it cool completely and send it to a dark, dry place for storage. We take it out in winter and serve it with fresh white bread, cream cheese and tea. Bon Appetit!
