Strawberry and raspberry jam

Strawberry and raspberry jam is a delicious version of berry jam. The raspberry aroma and delicate strawberry pulp simply cannot leave anyone indifferent. This jam is cooked in a gentle way, and in order to achieve a thick consistency, we use pectin.

Rinse the strawberries thoroughly, remove the sepals. We sort out raspberries from random garbage, the berries are not mine. Put dried strawberries and prepared raspberries in a saucepan for making jam.

We fill the berries with granulated sugar. Pour fifty grams of sugar from the total amount separately for later use according to the recipe. Cover the pot with a towel and leave it overnight to release the juice.

After insisting, mix the berry mass with sugar and put on the stove. Bring to a boil and cook for a couple of minutes over high heat. Turn off the stove and let the jam cool.

After the jam has completely cooled, put it back on the stove and heat it to a boil. In the process of heating, separately mix the pectin with the set sugar and add the dry mixture to the jam while stirring so that no lumps form. When the mixture boils, cook for two minutes and remove from the stove.

Pour hot jam into sterilized jars and close with sterile dry lids. Let the workpiece cool down and put it in a cool dark place for storage. After a few days, the jam will thicken noticeably.
