Strawberry jam five minutes

Five-minute strawberry jam is a simple and quick way to make jam, thanks to which all vitamins and fresh strawberry flavor are preserved in the berries. In a short time of heat treatment, the berries are preserved intact, thus, the jam consists of a thick berry base and liquid strawberry syrup. The only caveat is the storage of such a jam - it will be best and longest stored in the refrigerator.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 7
For making strawberry jam, we choose a juicy, dense and ripe berry. Soak it in a deep container in cool running water and leave it for 5-7 minutes. Then we rinse the strawberries under running cool water, put them in a colander and leave for 10-15 minutes to drain the water. Then remove the sepals from the berries.
step 2 out of 7
In order for the strawberries to release as much juice as possible, fill them with sugar, mix and leave at room temperature for 1.5-2 hours.
step 3 out of 7
After the strawberries have released juice, the sugar has become moist and almost dissolved, we put the container with berries on a slow fire. Add half a glass of boiled water, stir and bring the mass to a boil. At this time, we prepare jars for jam: we rinse them with baking soda, rinse well with water and put them in the oven on the wire rack with the neck down. We sterilize the jars at a temperature of 110-120 degrees for 5-7 minutes.
step 4 out of 7
After boiling, foam will begin to appear on the surface of the jam, which should be immediately removed with a wooden spoon or slotted spoon.
step 5 out of 7
After the berry has boiled, boil the jam for 5 minutes and remove from heat.
step 6 out of 7
Distribute the finished hot jam over the jars and tighten with boiled lids. Turn the jars upside down and leave the jam until it cools completely.
step 7 out of 7
We put the finished jam in the refrigerator for storage, and leave a small amount for tasting. Bon Appetit!
