Strawberry jam with banana

Jam made from strawberries with a banana may seem sugary at first glance, but the sourness of the berries levels and dilutes the sweetness of ripe bananas. This jam has a pleasant viscous structure.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 4
Sort the strawberries, remove the green tails. Wash the berries thoroughly in several waters. Strawberries can be put whole in the jam, or they can be cut in half. Transfer the berries to a wide bowl, cover with granulated sugar and leave for 5 hours to release the juice, which will saturate the sugar.
step 2 out of 4
Put the berries with juice and sugar on the fire, bring to a boil and cook, stirring constantly, for 5 minutes. Be sure to remove the foam from the jam. Leave the strawberry jam to cool at room temperature for 5 hours. Do the same manipulations twice again, leaving the mass to cool down for 5 hours.
step 3 out of 4
When you need to boil the strawberries for the third time, you need to peel the bananas, cut them into thin slices, add to the jam. Cook the jam, stirring it occasionally, for about 20-25 minutes, remembering to remove the foam.
step 4 out of 4
Pour boiling jam over pre-sterilized glass jars of a small volume in the oven, screw tightly with lids treated with boiling water. Turn the jars upside down, wrap them in an old warm jacket. Allow to cool to room temperature and transfer to the basement.

Bon Appetit!
