Raspberry jam for the winter

We have known the amazing taste of raspberry jam since childhood. How nice it is to spread it on fresh bread in a thick layer and enjoy it with tea or warm milk on cold winter evenings.

Sort out raspberries from large litter and rinse in a colander under running water.

Using an immersion blender, transfer the berries to the puree.

Put the raspberries on fire in a heavy-bottomed saucepan and simmer for 5 minutes over low heat, stirring occasionally.

Rub the berries through a sieve.

Add sugar and lemon to the jam and stir.

Simmer the puree over low heat for 10 minutes after boiling, removing the foam. If you want a thicker and denser treat, increase the cooking time by 20-30 minutes.

Pour the hot product into warm sterile jars and tighten with boiled lids. Turn the jars over and cover to cool slowly.
