Raspberry jam with agar-agar

Five-minute raspberry jam is a delicious instant raspberry jam, thanks to which the berry retains its beneficial properties, color and aroma. Agar agar gives the jam a thicker consistency. It is thanks to agar-agar that the jam does not need to be boiled for a long time and is ideal both for tea drinking and as a filling for a variety of desserts.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
We sort out delicious ripe raspberries from the branches and rinse in a colander under a weak stream of water so that the berry does not lose its shape. After that, we leave the berry in a colander so that all the water is glass. We spread the berries in a saucepan with a thick bottom, add sugar and citric acid.
step 2 out of 5
We put the saucepan with berries on low heat. Gradually, the saucepan will begin to heat up, the berries will release the juice and the sugar will begin to dissolve. Do not forget to stir the contents from time to time.
step 3 out of 5
When the jam starts to boil, add agar-agar to it (before adding agar-agar, read the instructions on the package, where it is indicated exactly how to add agar-agar to the liquid, sometimes it is necessary to pre-dissolve it in a small amount of liquid). Mix well so that all agar-agar is evenly distributed throughout the berry mass. Boil the jam for 5-6 minutes and remove from heat.
step 4 out of 5
Put the hot jam in sterilized glass jars. When hot, it is still completely liquid, but after complete cooling it will acquire the required consistency. Turn the jars of jam upside down and leave to cool completely.
step 5 out of 5
After the jam has completely cooled down, put it in a cool dark place. Fragrant and bright raspberry jam with agar-agar is ready, you can start tasting, bon appetit!
