Jam from mashed strawberries

It is not always possible to harvest berries from a beautiful and dense berry, but strawberries can be grinded, boiled and get a delicious homogeneous jam.

Sort out the berries, removing spoiled and leaves. Place the washed strawberries in a colander and place in a saucepan. Grind the berries with an immersion blender until smooth, or pass through a meat grinder.

Pour the sugar into the puree and stir with a spatula. Leave the mixture for 30 minutes to dissolve the sugar.

Put the pan on fire, boil, remove the foam. Simmer the jam over low heat, stirring occasionally, for 15 minutes.

Remove the pan from heat and let cool for 8 hours. Boil the jam again, cook for 10 minutes, stirring, and place hot in sterile jars. Turn the container over and cover with a blanket to cool overnight.
