Plum jam with orange

Using this recipe, you can make an unusual plum jam with citrus flavor and delicate texture. He prepares quickly. The fruits are chopped with a blender and cooked to the desired density.

For cooking, wash plums well with running water and pat dry with a towel. Scald oranges with boiling water to better open up from the armature, and then wash thoroughly.

Cut the washed plums into halves and remove the seeds.

Peel the oranges, cut them into wedges and remove as much of the white partitions and seeds as possible. Cut the orange pulp into pieces.

Transfer the chopped plums and oranges to a jam pot and grind with an immersion blender on high speed until smooth.

Then add the calculated amount of sugar to the resulting fruit puree, stir to dissolve the sugar, and put the pan on fire. You can add cinnamon or vanilla to the jam if you like. Simmer the jam over low heat for 15 minutes from the start of the boil. Be sure to skim the jam and stir it occasionally to keep it from burning. You can increase the cooking time to thicken the jam.

While the jam is cooking, sterilize the jars in any way and boil the lids. Check if the jam is done by dropping it on a saucer. A drop will not spread in the finished jam. Pour hot jam into prepared jars and immediately seal hermetically.
