Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
We sort out plums from twigs and other debris.
step 2 out of 6
We wash the plums under running water, dry them a little on a kitchen towel. Cut the plums in half and remove the seeds from them.
step 3 out of 6
First put a layer of eel plums in a large basin, fill it with sugar, then again a layer of plums, a layer of sugar. We repeat these steps until we run out of fruit and sugar. We leave everything like this for 5 hours so that the plums let the juice out.
step 4 out of 6
Then we put the plums, which have let the juice in, on a small fire, bring the mass to a boil, cook for 5 minutes, removing the foam if necessary. Leave the jam to cool for 5 hours.
step 5 out of 6
We repeat the cooking and infusion of the eel plum jam 2 more times.
step 6 out of 6
We sterilize jars and lids. After 3 boiling, pour the finished jam into prepared jars, roll them up. We store the jam from the eel plums in the basement or cellar on demand. Enjoy your winter tea!
