Turkey minced hedgehogs with rice

Turkey meat is considered hypoallergenic, easily digestible and very valuable in its composition. This product is simply irreplaceable in baby food. To make the whole family like the turkey dish, we suggest making minced meat hedgehogs with rice. Neither adults nor children will refuse appetizing rounds with rice "needles". Since such meatballs already contain cereals, a serving of vegetables should be served as a side dish. This can be either a fresh salad with herbs, or stewed or steamed vegetables.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
Minced meat can be bought ready-made in the store, or you can cook it at home. In the latter case, you can be absolutely sure of the quality of the product. For minced meat, it is better to use a fillet that is completely free of skin and excess fatty layers - such a composition is easier to digest and will bring maximum benefit to the body. We choose the smallest grill for the meat grinder - the minced meat should be fine-structured.
step 2 out of 6
Peel carrots and onions, rinse and finely chop. You can mince the vegetables after the turkey fillet. Or rub on a fine grater if the minced meat was bought in a store. We send chopped onions with carrots to a bowl for minced meat.
step 3 out of 6
Add the egg, salt and black pepper to taste.
step 4 out of 6
Rinse the raw rice thoroughly under running water. Then let the water drain, and pour the cereal to the minced meat. We mix all the ingredients with our hands or with a spoon. The finished mass should be thick, slightly viscous and keep its shape well. We moisten our hands in cold water so that the minced meat does not stick, and we form balls with a diameter of four to five centimeters. We roll the meatballs well in our hands, compacting the minced meat and making the surface smooth - so the "hedgehogs" will not fall apart during cooking.
step 5 out of 6
Heat some vegetable oil in a frying pan and put the prepared meatballs. At a medium-high temperature of the stove, fry them until golden brown on all sides. After that, pour hot water into the frying pan with the future "hedgehogs" in such an amount that it reaches two-thirds of their height. Sprinkle the liquid lightly with salt and close the pan with a lid. Simmer the meatballs at a minimum temperature for twenty-five minutes, maintaining an inactive boil.
step 6 out of 6
Let the ready-made "hedgehogs" stand under the lid for ten to fifteen minutes before serving. So the dish will have time to cool down to a comfortable temperature, and the taste will become even richer. Serve meatballs with vegetable garnish, herbs and various sauces.

Bon Appetit!
