Grilled trout on the grill

If you want to grill trout, pay special attention to marinating the fish. It this stage depends on the saturation of the taste and its shades. Skillfully selected herbs and spices will set the mood for the dish and make it really tasty.

We clean the trout from the scales, cut the abdomen and remove the insides. Leave the head, tail and fins in place. Thoroughly rinse the peeled carcasses and dry them with paper towels to remove excess moisture. We place the prepared fish on a cutting board and make shallow cuts on one side, as in the photo.

Pour both types of peas and sea salt into a mortar. Rub it with a pestle.

Wash the lemon, lightly roll it with our hands on the table in order to soften it and make it more juicy. Cut the citrus into thin semicircles. Peel the garlic and chop finely with a knife. Wash the thyme and dry it on a towel.

Sprinkle the prepared trout with pounded salt, pepper and chopped garlic. Sprinkle with olive oil, soy sauce and rub the spices over the fish with your hands. Put thyme and lemon wedges into the cavity of the trout. Tighten the prepared fish with cling film and leave to marinate for one hour.

Preparing the grill. We put the pickled trout there. Cook the fish for about fifteen minutes until lightly browned.

Transfer the finished trout from the wire rack to the dish, decorate with herbs and lemon. Serve hot with vegetables.
