Pea porridge with peas soaking in a saucepan on the stove

For lovers of various cereals, I wholeheartedly recommend using a wonderful recipe and cook mouth-watering pea porridge in a saucepan on the stove. The cooking process is quite simple, but in order for the peas to boil well, they need to be soaked.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 7
Measure out the required amount of dry peas.
step 2 out of 7
Rinse the prepared peas thoroughly, then put them in a deep container and cover with cold water. Leave to soak for a few hours. If you have time, leave it overnight.
step 3 out of 7
Rinse swollen peas again, and fill with the required amount of cold water.
step 4 out of 7
Put the saucepan over moderate heat and bring to a boil, remove the resulting foam with a slotted spoon. Close the lid, reduce heat to low and cook for 40-50 minutes, stirring occasionally.
step 5 out of 7
Mash the boiled pea porridge until smooth with a crush or use a blender.
step 6 out of 7
Add salt and butter. Stir the pea porridge thoroughly to distribute the butter evenly over the garnish.
step 7 out of 7
Serve the appetizing porridge cooked in a saucepan on the stove on the dining table in portions. Add a lump of butter to each serving, if desired.

Bon Appetit!
