Pea puree with meat

Pea puree with meat will be a simple budget and delicious dish for a family dinner. Peas go well with any meat, especially smoked ones. You can complement the taste of peas with oil and fried vegetables. In this recipe, you are encouraged to make pea puree with beef in tomato gravy. Pre-soak peas for 5-7 hours in cold water and for mashed potatoes, take chopped yellow grains.

Pre-soak the peas in cold water.

Then rinse the soaked peas several times and transfer to a cauldron or saucepan with a thick bottom.

Pour water over the peas. For the preparation of mashed potatoes, peas and water are taken in a ratio of 1: 3. Boil the peas over low heat and for 1.5 hours from the beginning of the boil and under a covered lid. You do not need to stir the peas during cooking. During this time, the peas should be boiled to a puree state, although this depends on the variety.

While the puree is cooking, prepare the meat gravy. Rinse the piece of beef well and pat dry with a paper towel.

Heat vegetable oil in a skillet and transfer the pieces of beef to it. Peel the onion, chop the rings into thin quarters and add to the meat.

During this time, the pea puree will cook. Add butter (vegetable) oil and salt to it. Turn off the heat under the pan and leave the peas for 15 minutes, after which you can grind them with a blender to add lightness to the puree.
