Few people make mashed peas, but this is a very tasty and nutritious dish. Peas contain a large amount of protein - they are a great substitute for meat during fasting. Pea puree can be served as a hearty side dish or as a separate dish. To add additional flavor and saturation to the puree, we will make onion frying before stewing. It is not necessary to soak the peas, but in this case we will also stew them for two hours.

Peel the onions, wash, dry and cut into small cubes. Pour in such an amount of vegetable oil into the multicooker bowl so that it covers the bottom with a thin layer. Select the "Fry" program and heat up the oil. Pour chopped onions into a bowl and fry them with stirring until light golden brown.

Pour the peas into a colander and rinse well under running cold water. We rinse it until the water flows out completely clean. It is very important to thoroughly rinse the peas - then the puree will turn out soft, clean, without scale. By the way, peas can be taken either crushed or split or whole. It is important that the raw materials are of high quality, clean, without impurities. In the case of whole peas, its quality is easier to track - the appearance of each pea speaks for itself. But with a crushed look, the matter is more complicated, because the initial state of the peas remains unknown. Pour the washed peas into a bowl on top of the onions.

Pour in hot water in the specified amount. We mix. The liquid should cover the peas by one and a half centimeters. We close the multicooker with a lid and turn on the "Quenching" mode for two hours.

After the time of the set program has elapsed, turn off the multicooker. Open the lid - you can see that the peas are completely boiled.

Add a piece of butter and mix well with a spatula. The peas are so soft that, when mixed, they turn into a heterogeneous puree without unnecessary manipulation.
