Pea soup with pork broth

With a great desire I want to share a bright and mouth-watering recipe for pea soup cooked in pork broth. The soup is rich and satisfying. Prepare such a soup on a cold, bad day and cheer yourself up!

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 7
First, wash the pork ribs. Place in a deep heavy-bottomed saucepan. Pour in cold water and salt. Place over medium heat and bring to a boil. Remove the formed foam with a slotted spoon. Then reduce heat and cook, covered, for about 1 hour.
step 2 out of 7
Rinse the split peas thoroughly several times under running water. If desired, you can soak the peas in a solution with baking soda overnight. This will make it cook faster.
step 3 out of 7
Then pour the washed peas into the hot broth. Add bay leaves.
step 4 out of 7
Peel the onions and cut into cubes. Put in a preheated pan, greased with vegetable oil, fry until soft. Wash the carrots and peel them with a vegetable peeler, grate on a coarse grater, send to the fried onions and add tomato paste.
step 5 out of 7
Simmer over low heat for 10 minutes.
step 6 out of 7
Wash the potatoes and peel them with a vegetable peeler. Cut the peeled potatoes into cubes. Send to soup. Bring to a boil. Salt if necessary. Reduce heat and simmer for 25-30 minutes.
step 7 out of 7
Put the cooked roast in the soup and pepper. Bring to a boil and remove from heat. Leave to stand under the lid for 15 minutes. Pour the pea soup in pork broth into portions and serve on the dining table.

Bon Appetit!
