Chicken pea soup without soaking peas

Wash the chicken thighs well. Place in a saucepan. Pour in water and salt. Put on fire and bring to a boil. Remove the resulting foam with a slotted spoon, reduce heat and simmer, covered for 30 minutes. Peel the onions and cut into cubes. Add to saucepan.

Cooking time may take less or longer depending on the freshness and size of the thighs. When the meat is separated from the bones, you can proceed to the next stage.

Rinse the peas thoroughly several times under running water.
