Pea soup with boiled smoked sausage

For connoisseurs of delicious hot dishes, I suggest using a chic, in my opinion, recipe and preparing a fragrant pea soup with boiled-smoked sausage. The first course is perfect for a friendly or family gathering. The soup turns out to be hearty and bright.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 8
Prepare the required ingredients for a mouth-watering pea soup. Wash and peel the carrots using a vegetable peeler. Peel the onions and rinse in cold water. Wash and dry the bell peppers and herbs.
step 2 out of 8
Rinse the split peas thoroughly several times under running water, and then put in a saucepan, cover with cold water. If desired, you can soak the peas in a baking soda solution. This will make it cook faster. Place on medium heat and cook, covered, for 1 hour.
step 3 out of 8
Peel the cooked smoked sausage and cut into quarters.
step 4 out of 8
Onions and cut into cubes. Peel the bell pepper from seeds and core, cut into strips. Fry the vegetables until soft in a well-heated frying pan greased with vegetable oil.
step 5 out of 8
Grate the peeled carrots on a coarse grater and send to the pan. Stir occasionally and fry for a few minutes.
step 6 out of 8
Chop the greens and add to the fried vegetables.
step 7 out of 8
Place sausage and fried vegetables in a saucepan with the rest of the ingredients. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Bring the soup to a boil. Cover with a lid and leave on the switched off burner to infuse for 30 minutes.
step 8 out of 8
Serve the appetizing pea soup with boiled smoked sausage on the dinner table in portions.

Bon Appetit!
