Greek Avocado Salad

The classic Greek salad is prepared without avocado, but this fruit will definitely not be superfluous here. Its delicate, slightly oily pulp will greatly enrich such a salad, bringing with it not only a new taste, but also many useful microelements and vitamins. And to make the taste symphony of this dish sound very Greek, add here not just the usual Feta cheese from the store, but also, for example, pieces of some salty goat or sheep cheese, best of all - homemade.

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
First, you need to cut the avocado into two parts to the very bone, then it is easy to twist this fruit in different directions so that the bone separates. Then, remove the skin from the avocado and cut the flesh into cubes. Place the cubes in a salad bowl and sprinkle them with lemon juice.
step 2 out of 6
Wash the salad mix or green lettuce leaves, dry, tear with your hands. Add to salad bowl.
step 3 out of 6
Add the Bulgarian pepper, peeled and cut into cubes, too.
step 4 out of 6
Chop the cucumber and tomatoes coarsely, and chop the onion into half rings.
step 5 out of 6
Add cheese cubes to the salad.
step 6 out of 6
Finally, add the olives and sprinkle the dried oregano over the salad. Then salt the dish, pepper to taste, season with lemon juice and olive oil. Stir the Greek salad with the avocado very gently so that the cheese does not break, arrange in portions and serve immediately. If desired, the salad can be garnished with fresh parsley or basil.

Bon Appetit!
