Croutons with milk, egg and sugar

Sweet croutons with egg and milk are affectionately called a dish "from childhood." This dessert is prepared quickly and easily and belongs to the first stage of the culinary education of young housewives.

Break two chicken eggs into a separate bowl, add sugar and milk.

Mix these ingredients well with a fork or whisk to dissolve the sugar completely.

The loaf, preferably not fresh, but yesterday's, cut into even slices up to 1 cm thick.

Dip each slice of loaf on both sides in an egg-milk mixture and fry in a skillet with heated vegetable oil. Fry over medium heat, a couple of minutes on each side and until golden brown. Serve the cooked croutons hot.
